Threading Through Us Exhibition: June 17 to August 24

We’re excited to share that Threading Through Us, a powerful collaborative gallery featuring the work of Janine Bessenecker, Dr. Eugenia Sherman Brown, Bobbette Rose, Cynthia Reynolds, and Dr. Fabu Phillis Carter, will be on display at the Overture Center in Madison, WI, from June 25 to August 24. This unique project is part of the Overture Center’s Summer Exhibition Gallery, which explores the power of voice—what it means to be seen, heard, and represented.

Over the course of two years, these five artists came together to reflect on how our lives and relationships resemble threads—sometimes tangled, often beautiful, and always connected. Dr. Fabu contributed original poetry inspired by the group’s shared theme and creative journey, while the visual artists allowed her words to influence and deepen their own work. Together, they’ve created a body of art that speaks to the strength of collaboration, the richness of shared stories, and the transformative nature of artistic connection.
